In this article, I will discuss a recent issue encountered during a vCenter SR, where the customer encountered an error while attempting to deploy a VM using OVF. The error screenshot is included below.
To troubleshoot this issue, the following steps can be taken:
- Check how many vCenter instances are present in the environment. In this case, there were four VC instances.
- To check the replication status of the VC instances, run the following command:
/usr/lib/vmware-vmdir/bin/vdcrepadmin -f showpartnerstatus -h localhost -u administrator- If the partner change is greater than 0, then the replication needs to be fixed.
- Once the replication is resolved, the VM can be deployed using OVF.
